My practice is rooted in a deep reverence for the rhythms and intricacies of the natural world. Nothing brings me such pure joy and inspiration than observing the ebbs and flows of nature - I believe it's the closest experience we have to witnessing and experiencing divinity. Through drawing and painting, I seek to distill and translate fleeting encounters with this enigmatic sacred energy into visual form. Natural elements - observed celestial phenomena, textures and movements of flora and fauna - are abstracted and reassembled into fluid, interconnected structures that echo the innate harmony of organic systems.

Some works draw on floral motifs, yet push beyond surface aesthetics to explore the underlying geometries that govern organic life. My compositions are guided by automatism and rely on sensory attunement with nature. They are structured around implied networks - routes of energetic transmission and transformation - where intuitive forms converge with analytical precision. Across my body of work, an organic motif of undulation and flow persists, catalyzing a visual ecosystem into existence where structure and spontaneity coalesce in harmony.

My immigration, constant travels and nomadic lifestyle have fostered an untethered feeling of not belonging to any specific place, yet I always find solace in nature. Disembodied optical elements in my work allude to the sentient aspect of the natural world.  Self generated symbol systems navigate between the earthly and the ethereal. My childhood spent in Russia served as my initial inspiration, being exposed to the folklore and traditional art education, as well as a lifetime of traveling. Moving between cultural environments made me more observant and interested in universal forms of communication. Having grown up in a New Age household influenced me,  I have always had a strong interest in esoteric theosophical texts, from figures such as Helena Blavatsky, Rudolph Steiner and Manly P. Hall. Influences include the Transcendental Painting Group (TPG) of the 1940s, aka Desert Transcendentalists.

My most recent works are influenced by time spent in rural Florida swamp backroads, where the quiet mystique of reptiles captivated me. I’m hypnotized by the way snakes sliver and sway through wet grass blades, the glint of alligator eyes piercing the dead darkness of the nocturnal swamp - these experiences shaped a visual language of tension, grace, and embodied stillness.

A common thread of union, oneness, and synergy interlaces all of the work. It ultimately signifies one’s reverence for life and affirms the sacredness of humanity.
